Q5. Pick out the proper nouns in the following:

1. John came to our house on Friday.
2. Mary has a birthday in October.
3. The Nile is a big river.
4. Margaret has gone to Turkey.
5. London is the capital of England.
6. Athens is in Greece.
7. The Red Sea is in the east of Egypt.
8. William Shakespeare wrote Hamlet.
9. The Andamans are group of islands.

Q5. Last Friday John sat for his class examination. His teacher asked him to write down some sentences in his copy. John listened carefully each time a sentence was dictated and wrote it down carefully. But when results came out he found all his sentences marked wrong by his teacher. Here is the list of those sentences. Can you guess what wrong did John do? 

I. henry lives in london.

II. lima is a very fine city.

III. my birthday is on Thursday, the 15th of may.

IV. paris is the capital of france.

V. my brother’s name is george.
